OMAHA – A former OnlyFans content creator has won a seat to become Douglas County commissioner. Whitney Hansen, who ran on a platform in part to “Free Palestine” and end “genocide,” ran unopposed in the general election for the District 2 seat.
After the first vote drop, Hansen has received over 97% of the votes cast in her race with ~2% of voters writing in another name.
Hansen caused controversy in October when it was revealed she had made her living as an OnlyFans model. Conservative accounts posted explicit photos of her content on Twitter and messages purporting to be from Hansen stated that she’d “love to fantasize and play with younger girls.”
In a statement on her Instagram, Hansen defended her modeling decisions, saying, “I have taken private photographs as a consenting adult. That is absolutely true, and I refuse to be shamed for that.” Hansen had posted many of her explicit photos on public threads on Reddit, which linked back to her OnlyFans account. She has since deleted her accounts.
Hansen also addressed claims that she had taken photographs while she worked as a teacher in the Omaha metro area.
“What I have not done is: take adult photographs in a workplace, masturbate in a workplace, form inappropriate connections with current or former students… get banned from my prior workplace after inappropriate conduct (although I’m almost certainly banned now, given recent press).”
The Plains Sentinel reached out to the Millard Public School system, where Hansen had worked at over the past six years, and asked if there had been any incidents while she was a teacher in the school system. “I can confirm that Whitney Hansen was employed until May 2026. At the time of her separation, the district was not aware of any misconduct,” MPS Spokeswoman Rebecca Kleeman said.
