Lincoln Public Libraries should be recognized for being Communist compliant. In his book, "The Naked Communist," former FBI agent W. Cleon Skousen listed the goals of the Communists. Among them was this: #24 "Present homo-sexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as 'normal, natural, healthy.'"
Books that are about sexual behaviors not acceptable by society at large should not be promoted by placing them in a location that can't be avoided. The adults responsible for these displays should be reassigned and not be allowed to make decisions that promote books that an overwhelming majority of parents would disapprove of for their children. Sadly, this is just another example of societal moral decline.
As a mom, it's sad that I have conversations with my young kids about whether certain librarians who work in the children's section at Gere (the most used library in Lincoln, with a lot of events for children) might be male or female.
I love the pushback and the comments I’m reading. There is some sanity still here. The books in question should be held to the same standard as pornography. We shouldn’t have to see a display of Playboy magazines and erotica “literature”. I don’t condone the LGBTQ + lifestyle but I don’t hate the people in this lifestyle. We shouldn’t celebrate any group for their sexual preferences (especially so public “in your face”). We don’t celebrate the most healthy relationship - the cornerstone of civilization - of a heterosexual marriage. On the flip side we don’t celebrate other deviant sexual relationships such as infidelity. Why shouldn’t a man or woman that decides to have a sexual relationship with someone outside their marriage be celebrated for a month? The answer is obvious for both religious and secular societal values. It is time for Americans to take back the messaging funded by our tax dollars. We must rise above the fear that we might be “cancelled” or bullied/name called as homophobic. From both religious values and scientific values, homosexuality and its offshoots have no place in our society. It is time to not only stop celebrating an unhealthy lifestyle (scientific research is clear) but to call out the deviant behavior that it was always known for until homosexuals and pro-homosexuality persons took over the Board of Directors at APA and forced the DSM classification to change.

Dear Lincoln
You get what you vote for.
Yours truly,
Sanity
