That is why we have an oversight board. What happens when a Nebraska school wants to educate kids using the “sharia framework?” Would you want the Board to say it’s not our job to question it? Kirk Penner and the other Republicans on the Board are to be commended for doing the homework and asking the hard questions. Two of the Democrats are to be commended for taking those concerns seriously, as they were intended, instead of just throwing the race card. Having a different curriculum for a school of mostly Black children isn't worthy of debate. It is wrong. It is divisive. It is racist. You can't take the words "abolitionist framework" and redefine them to mean something positive. Twist the meaning and sugar coat it all you want, but it still means the same. Some Black people's purpose in life is to promote anti-white and anti-American positions, a prime example being Columbia University professor Bettina L. Love. Love is promoting hate instead of gratitude for this great country she flourishes in, demonizing America and white people in her writings. It's her livelihood.
What no one is saying outload is that Black racism is the biggest threat to our republic. The Black community is today where the white community was before the Civil Rights movement. Dr. King wanted his children to be known by their character, not their race. There is no greater disrespect for Dr. King's Dream than Identity Preparatory Academy. Is it time for Civil Rights leaders to match against the Black racism of north Omaha?
