LINCOLN — Nebraska star basketball player and BIG 10 sixth man of the year Braden Frager said he is “coming back” to play for another year on Nebraska’s basketball team. Frager’s comment came following the Nebraska Legislature recognizing the 2025-2026 Nebraska Basketball team on Thursday.

“I’m coming back,” Frager told The Plains Sentinel when asked if he planned on returning for his sophomore year. When pressed if fellow star player Pryce Sandfort was likely to return as well, Frager nodded his head and said, “Probably.”
The comments follow speculation that Frager could be a high profile target for other teams and would command a high dollar amount in NIL money. Frager did not initially put his name in the transfer portal when it opened earlier this week.
Sandfort, Nebraska’s leading scorer during the past season, has previously stated he is weighing whether to return for his senior season or enter the NBA draft.
