The Plains Sentinel is founded with the belief that Nebraskans deserve the best standard of local journalism and that new and daring reporting is necessary so that Nebraskans can continue to be best informed about what is going on in their communities.

The Plains Sentinel is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is funded exclusively through the contributions of readers and philanthropists. We are committed to bringing the Nebraska public the highest standard of reporting through a fact-based, non-partisan lens.
