Commentary Guidelines:

• The Plains Sentinel publishes independent commentary with a recommended length between 500-750 words and 250 words or less for letters to the editor.

• Topics should be relevant to Nebraska.

• The Plains Sentinel reserves the right to edit commentary for style, clarity, and length.

• We do not allow office holders to submit commentary that can be construed as campaigning for public office.

• Name, address, and phone number are required with the submission. Your name will be used publicly as The Plains Sentinel does not publish anonymous commentaries.

• Email johngage@plainssentinel.com with the subject line “Commentary” with the text of the commentary in the body of the email. All questions can be directed to this email.
